Introducing RISE Photographer: Marius Strydom
Before focusing fully on his commercial photography career, Marius Strydom worked as a model for 8 years. This laid a solid foundation for understanding lighting and composition as well as body language and how to move in front of the camera. This enables him to expertly direct models to achieve the desired result. Marius was selected to take part in the Nick Knight photography programme, which helped him find his artistic voice and hone his creative confidence.
Alluring, feminine and often capturing a feeling of romance, Marius’ images have a strong focus on movement and engagement and compress entire narratives into the frame of a single image. Marius’ recent clients include Cosmo, House of Cinnamon, Tamara Cherie and A Fashion Friend.
