Berlin-based fashion and beauty photographer Alex Trommlitz is a purist. His minimalist aesthetic uses simplicity to striking effect: Alex plays with forms, colours, texture and expressions to capture his subject’s inherent beauty. His almost architectural compositions strip out all unnecessary detail to hone in on the most essential and interesting elements and features. The result is a kind of fierce honesty in Alex’s images. Born in Piräus, Greece, Alex was raised in Germany and studied economics in Lüneburg and design in Hamburg.
